The coffee chain debuted its new breakfast tacos, which are now available nationwide. Despite their name, the tacos, according to the company, are an excellent choice for any time of day.
"Our culinary team has expertly crafted these Breakfast Tacos with the vibrancy of Spring in mind, delivering a taste sensation that can be enjoyed any time of the day — not just for breakfast," Dunkin's chief marketing officer Jill McVicar Nelson said.
"These tacos are unquestionably one of the most delicious savory items we've introduced at Dunkin' Donuts. We're excited for guests to try them and find a new favorite meal to fuel their day, whether it's a delicious breakfast or a mid-afternoon snack."
The flour tortilla tacos are filled with scrambled eggs, melted sharp white cheddar cheese, fire-roasted corn, and a hint of tangy lime crema for “a refreshing finish.” It has jalapeno for a kick, according to the online ingredients. For crunch, hungry customers can add crispy crumbled bacon.
The chain also stated that the tacos are ideal for on-the-go eating because they come wrapped in a "Dunkin' taco holder," which is essentially a hard-sided sleeve to make handling your taco more comfortable while eating in a hurry.
This isn't the only new thing Dunkin' Donuts has planned for 2023, though. As Food & Wine previously reported, the brand is also planning to release Dunkin' Donuts cold brew liquid concentrates this spring, allowing you to enjoy an icy treat at home.
According to Joseph Stanziano, senior vice president and general manager of coffee, the product is the result of a "fourth-wave" coffee consumer who requires and desires "convenient solutions to really create and prepare these specialized drinks."
If you can't wait for the concentrate, you can always grab a bag of Dunkin' Donuts beans and make your own with one of these cold brew coffee makers right now. Then, reward yourself with a Dunkin' Donuts breakfast taco for a job well done.
